James Schultz is the Director of Development at Four Stones, where he oversees feasibility, due diligence, and execution for the firm’s multifamily, mixed-use, and adaptive reuse projects. He managed the redevelopment of Kern’s Bakery, a 70,000 SF food hall and mixed-use complex in Knoxville, and continues to oversee its asset management, operations, and leasing. James is experienced in structuring creative financing, including Opportunity Zone equity, historic tax credits, and local tax incentives. Prior to joining FSRE in 2022, he worked with Portman Holdings on hospitality and office developments, as well as with Mallory & Evans Development on student housing communities. He earned his BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia. Outside of work, James enjoys golf, fly-fishing, and coaching youth basketball.
